I went to this random meeting about Diversity and Stories of minority communities in the gay community. There was a video shown and discussion about the stories that people hear, which sometimes include stereotypes. Not that they are untrue, but they are incomplete. I'm definitely gonna repost that link later. Afterwards, the hanging out continued and it was very interesting. People shared and discussed, and I definitely realized while we all came from different backgrounds.... we were all similar. I mean, the same types of discussions happen when I'm with the straight crowds. Its so interesting sharing these stories, celebrate differences and remind me how equal we all are as people.
