I thought I didn't have that good of a day/week. So many coulds and shoulds that never came to be. I look at the not so bad moments and dwell on them, for some reason. But then I hear some news, and it tilts my world off-axis. I see a different perspective and nothing is the same. The things I did do, stand out. The people and friendships around me, come to the forefront. Its not about what can be, it is about what is.

For just a few seconds, minutes, days, weeks... I can't help but be humbled and grateful. What do I have that I truly deserve? What makes me any different from him? What if it was me instead? What if I or any of us knew this could happen? and how would that have changed our day or week?

Today WE lost a good person. Someone who accomplished more than I could even dream of. Most of you don't know him, but we all share the loss at a time like this. I pray for the Anderson family. And for the extended family... I know so many people were tired a few hours ago, but now can't even sleep. This was a huge loss, but at least most of us have that hope, that one day we will meet again. Its much easier to say than do, though. But may we live each day, as if it is our last. May we cherish the friendships and people around us and truly be grateful for each step in this journey called life.

Spring is Here. Life is Blooming.

This was in a fortune cookie I just ate, and I couldn't agree more. Spring is finally HERE!!! and I've definitely been living it up. Every day from Wednesday thru Sunday, I've been making it an extra point to enjoy the weather. Its been awesome, I've gotten to take lots of pictures and its hopefully a sign of greater things to come. Even though today was rainy, I'm a little glad for it. It helped convince me to just come home after work, and reminded to focus on schoolwork... which was unsuccessful. But I started something, and hopefully I can finish this week's assignments in time for trivia on wednesday. This will hopefully give me more time to just enjoy life and everything that makes it worth it!

Yay for Spring!!
