Florida Memorial Day Weekend!

This past weekend I went to Florida for a wedding. The couple are friends from college, church, and life around the house. It was the first time I've been to Florida (outside of an airport AND older than 2). It was a really interesting time, and can't wait to go back. We didn't really get to explore, because of all the wedding festivities and plans, but I did like what I saw and had a good times with old friends. The wedding was nice, and amazingly short. (Which was good.) The food at the reception, well the whole weekend actually, was exceptional. The entertainment at the reception outside of the MC and some random toasts, were pretty good too. The afterparty was at Bob Marleys on City Walk of Universal Studios, and that was a nice spot and was the only time I had alcohol the whole weekend.

The day after the wedding, we had a really late start to get out (after 3 pm). Due to a lack of funds on some people, we decided to go to an indoor amusement park "for the mind", in Orlando. Yet it was really good, and fun. The only sucky part was that I never recharged my camera battery so after 15-20 minutes there, my camera died. Next, we headed back to Daytona Beach and went for a nice evening stroll, where my roommate ended up losing his phone.

All in all, the trip was a good break from DC. It gave me a re-appreciation of old friends and new memories good times. It reminded me of how good carribean food can be. It inspired me even more of the joys of traveling, and was a good next step to introduce the summer. Certain situations had randomly taught me to just follow my gut and intuition about decisions. And lastly, it also made me think a lot about "Love and Marriage" in general. Which we be in a later blog.
