More Flags, More Fun!!

Last week, Kevin brought up the idea of going to Six Flags Great Adventure(in NJ) this week. It could be good weather, and its before the season really kicks off and it should be easier and less crowded. I'm usually up for whatever, especially if it can be packed into a single day and be a good excuse to not go to work. So after a late-ish start (8:45), we got there a little after 11.

I was never "into" roller coasters, I went on some the last time I was there in 1998. But just never really saw what all the fun was about. Usually in most of my other trips to theme parks, I'd end up just doing the water section and rides. But I figured why not. So we went on every coaster they had:

Superman - really COOL. Awesomest part was where we were upside and on the inside of a loop, and my mind/body did not know how to really comprehend that, especially when we were in the front.
Scream Machine - Alright, good for its age. had some loops and hills.
Dark Knight - Amazingly sucked. Inside and long wait, overhyped with a mini-movie thing. basically went in circles....
Batman - Alright, wasn't too impressed but probably the third best one there.
Nitro - Cool for the really high drops, and no floor so its was awesome.
Runaway Mine Train - OK. Weird, but it went twice,
Rolling Thunder - Good, though really bumpy, we were in the back and it was wooden
El Toro - Pretty Good, especially for a wooden coaster,
Other(Some mini "coaster") - it was after the dark knight so it wasn't too bad,
Superman - alright, not as cool as being in the front

Not bad for a day trip. I've gained a new appreciation for roller coasters. And am getting even more excited about how good I will make this summer be. Next stop Florida!
